The PAL-BX/ACID 14 combined fruit acidity and sugar meter is designed to measure the acidity of pears and their refractive index on the %Brix scale. This unique instrument has no analogues in the world. You no longer need reagents or consumables. Furthermore, this instrument can now also function as a refractometer. This means you can measure both the acidity of pears and their sugar content with a single device. This instrument can also be used to determine the sugar/acid ratio, which allows for more stringent quality control of individual varieties.
